Utah Valley University is seeking an experienced, energetic leader to coordinate and complete the accreditation process to establish the Master of Physician Assistant Studies program at our beautiful Orem, Utah campus located near the Wasatch Mountains. UVU has started the accreditation process, and if provisional accreditation is achieved after a successful ARC-PA application/site visit, plans to admit its first cohort of students in January, 2020. The program is seeking a Program Director with exceptional leadership abilities who will bring to the position an integrated background of academic and clinical experience, as well as a record of achievement in higher education and professional accomplishment. The ideal candidate will have program accreditation and development experience and must be willing to commit to the program from provisional to continuing accreditation status.

The Director will provide the overall academic leadership, administration, and curricular management of the program including oversight of didactic and clinical curriculum, budget and finance, assessment/analysis, and all accreditation (provisional, completion and continuing) responsibilities. Provides leadership to PA faculty, staff, and students; facilitates communication, clarification, and implementation of program, college, and university policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an ARC-PA accredited program with a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Practice/Studies, 3 years in an academic based position and 5 years clinical experience.
  • Current NCCPA Certification.
  • Utah PA license or eligible for the license exam.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Five years in an academic based position as a Director, Associate or Assistant Director.
  • Seven years clinical experience (practicing PA).
