Job Summary:
Under general supervision, is responsible for the medical care of urgent care patients. Treats patients in Urgent Care Center (UC) to ensure proper injury care and disease diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Requests necessary tests and follow-up visits and refers patients to specialists, as necessary.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
•    Provides leadership and management for the UC in partnership with the UC nursing manager
•    Works cooperatively and supportively with members of the medical staff to provide urgent care services for all patients who present to the UC
•    Works cooperatively and supportively with other clinical and non-clinical departments to ensure availability, quality, and effective use of services
•    Treats patients to ensure proper injury care and disease diagnosis, request necessary tests and follow-up visits
•    As necessary, stabilizes patient and coordinates transportation of patient to tertiary care centers
•    Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
•    Participates in the life of the company and the community
•    Vigorously engages in his/her own professional development; is a life-long learner who enhances his/her skills, using state-of-the-art technologies to maintain high standards of performance to work efficiently and effectively
•    Is familiar with and complies with all policies and regulations as put forth in the company’s documents
•    Since safety and security are everyone’s responsibility, takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect employees, patients, equipment, materials and facilities
•    Performs other duties as assigned

Required Education, Training & Experience:
•    Master's Degree from an accredited Advanced Nurse Practitioner program or graduation from a Physician Assistant (PA) Training Program accredited by the American Medical Association Council on Medical Education
•    Licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant with a current valid, full and unrestricted license in Washington State
•    Current BLS and ACLS
•    Maintains Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements
•    Minimum two years of acute care experience required
•    No more than twelve (12) months since last work assignment

•    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
•    Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
•    Ability to travel locally
