Orthopedic Physician Assistant – Office Based, Renton WA Washington Orthopedic Spine & Injury Center Candidate must be able to demonstrate the experience, knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to patients being seen in an Orthopedic office. Candidate must have experience as an Orthopedic PA with skills in extremity and spine. Skill with technology and fluency in Spanish (or other languages) are each desirable. The individual must be a good communicator, work as part of a musculoskeletal care team and provide care as described below. This position involves both directly supervised and independent clinics, working principally with Orthopedic physicians. In addition, our immediate growth plans involve opening a comprehensive brain injury clinic. The candidate may be asked to participate in that clinic with appropriate support and training. Our clinic provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment to patients injured in accidents. The primary office is currently located in Renton, with satellite clinics immediately planned for Lynnwood, Tacoma and Puyallup. The candidate will work directly under the supervision of the clinic director, who is an Orthopedic surgeon. The applicant will also work directly with physicians specializing in a wide array of musculoskeletal care to include: Spine, Extremities, Hand/Wrist, Foot/Ankle, Plastic Surgery, Hip. The candidate with attend clinics in all of our current and future locations. This job does not entail taking Emergency Room Call. The care is almost entirely office based and outpatient. No hospital rounds are anticipated. Very limited after-hours work required. Full benefits, paid vacation, CME. At this time there is no surgical assistant responsibility, but that possibility (not required) does potentially exist in the future. Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications Current licensure to practice as a Physician’s Assistant from the State of Washington. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required. Applicant must have experience working as an Orthopedic PA. Washington State prescriptive privileges needed. Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description. Preferences Specialty in orthopedics, spine, musculoskeletal or sports medicine is strongly preferred. Any experience with concussion care is beneficial. Spanish Language is strongly preferred.
