Faculty Position – Part-Time
Position Overview

The MEDEX Physician Assistant Program at the University of Washington seeks Physician Assistant Didactic faculty at its Spokane, WA campus. This is a renewable 12-month non-tenure track position. Rank: Lecturer, Part time   60% FTE; Two positions are available.         

Responsibilities: Didactic faculty duties include teaching, developing syllabi, lectures and evaluation instruments, coordinating or chairing at least one course, providing instruction in assigned didactic courses, advising and evaluating students, working collaboratively with other faculty members, medical director, staff and invited guest lecturers.

Didactic faculty may also be involved in clinical (second year) activities related to student rotations.

Faculty assist in all aspects of the program including student recruitment and the development, delivery and evaluation of the curriculum associated with the program. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.  Faculty additionally participate in admissions activities, scholarly activity, committees, as well as other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Teaching experience in either a classroom or clinical setting
  • A Master's degree
  • Current NCCPA certification and WA PA license (or ability to obtain)
  • Two years of clinical experience
  • Strong organizational and communications skills
