Our Emergency Department at the University of Washington Medical Center-Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Physician Assistant. (PA) You will see patients in the Fast-Track stream of care. Be exposed to high acuity and challenging patients. The ED PA is a member of the inter-professional team that includes attending physicians, residents, and nurses

Things our PA's do:

Evaluate and treat acute and minor illnesses and injuries presenting to the ED.

Serve as backup for Campus Health for employees with blood-borne exposures or job-related injury.

Function independently.

This position requires proficiency in the assessment of emergent/urgent complaints to determine the complexity and stability of patients.

Responsibilities include functioning as a member of a multi-disciplinary health care team within the Emergency Department.

Shift

This position is a 75%, (30 hrs. per week)  evening shift.

Requirements

Current license as a PA in the state of Washington.

2 plus years as a PA in Urgent care or ED.

ACLS certification.

Excellence in working in an interdisciplinary collaborative team.
